Discovering Sourdough Part IIIA Advanced Sourdough edition by Teresa L Greenway Cookbooks Food Wine eBooks
Ms. Greenway, in her series of e-books about sourdough baking, has provided an easy to follow series of guides for someone who wants to learn and actually be succesful in the art of sourdough baking. Whether following her instructions on your first loaf, using leftover, excess starter or graduating on to more challenging loafs, she gives clear advice based on her personal experiences that both work and allow a beginner to transition to becoming proficient in the steps needed for sourdough breads. Too many books unrealistically make this sound so automatically easy or are filled only with advanced techniques and unfamiliar terms that typically end up with the discouraging failures that drive most to forgetting about further efforts. I had given up and only when reading a "Try it" of the first Part I Beginning Sourdough book, I saw both my exact failures and her concise explanations of the reason for the failures and most importantly, how to correct them. I bought it and actually baked a good loaf by following her guidelines. Do it properly by not jumping past any of the series, they are written in order for a reason and as low priced as they are, they allow a graduated course to successful sourdough baking that is about the same price as one of the "experts" books...enjoy the entire series, good luck and here's to sourdough...gotta run, a loaf is ready to come out of the oven!...😁...djProduct details

Discovering Sourdough Part IIIA Advanced Sourdough edition by Teresa L Greenway Cookbooks Food Wine eBooks Reviews
More recipes, more techniques, but you need a few loaves of experience before the complex knowledge in this book helps you progress. Then you will have understanding instead of confusion. The recipes will entice.
Beginners may struggle and fall into vexation especially if they have no previous baking experience of any kind. Yet it is not like getting to the moon. Sourdough can be done in the home kitchen if you really want to do it.
Step by step. This is real food, slow food, not the common diet of almost instant stuff which does feed you but can't compare with sourdough baking.
This book is a real study but results will come.
This has so much great information. I'm working my way through it and trying to retain everything. Anything Teresa finishes is wonderful. Love her videos and classes too.
A good reference
I have been a long time follower of Teresa's blog so naturally I had to have these books! She gives such easy to follow instructions and really knows what she is talking about. Recipes are always easy to understand. If you want to learn to bake sourdough you need these books!!
Volume IIIA has answered questions that have baffled me for 5 yrs of sourdough baking. Unwitting habits kept my dough from being very stretchable for the last kneading operations. Here, I learn how the whole grains require a different technique, often using preferments to keep from either overdeveloping the dough or having it break down. 4 more loaves are fermenting at this writing, and there's a couple dozen recipes I'm dying to try. Teresa's methods made the beginning possible, but go beyond intermediate. 'Hard to recommend these methods highly enough.
Good class for progressing in the sourdough world. Have learned a bunch.
A lot of useful information. I learn something new with all of her books. If you like sourdough, you need to read these.
